Did you know it? Since last January 31st, food industry professionals have been subjected to a new set of regulations pertaining to the health allegations of their products. The Biopole of Poitiers is in a position to operationally address the issues involved. With its in vitro tests and bioanalysis as well as clinical trials and codified observation of pharmacovigilance, a complete set of skills may be put to work within the association.
Wishing to show as well as tell, on June 16th and 17th eight network members will be present in La Rochelle for the health and nutrition event: Apinov, BIOalternatives, BioCydex, GPHY, Ianesco, Technova, Valagro and Isoclin.
Recognized expertise
The Biopole of Poitiers will also draw attention to itself through a practical workshop entitled: «Mutualizing for innovation: how to put together a persuasive dossier» (June 16th, 12:45 – 1:45 P.M.). On the occasion of this debate, which will be moderated by Professor Jean-Michel Maixent*, a member of the scientific committee of the French agency for sanitary safety in foods (Afssa), the Biopole will underscore its know-how and experience in piloting innovatory projects aimed at the development of new ingredients or finished products, not to mention its assistance in establishing financial plans for the dossiers.
The expert members of the association will testify to their experience in piloting R&D projects and will discuss the advantages and drawbacks of cooperative projects involving different companies (contractual agreements, financing, intellectual property, etc…).
(*) Professor Maixent is also the associate director of the Poitiers University biology-health professional training center.
