An original concept

A non-profit making organization, the Poitiers Biopole has as its main objective the reinforcement of
complementarities between the biotechnology actors established in Greater Poitiers. What with its one thousand employees in thirty companies, 600 researchers, 17 laboratories and 3500 students enrolled in high-level course programs, Poitiers is particularly strong in three key sectors: Biomedical sciences, Plant science-agronomy, and Water management-environment.

Drawing strength from a widespread network of experts, the Poitiers Biopole also benefits from the geographical proximity of the university hospital center, the university campus, the medicine and pharmacy faculty of the University of Poitiers, the Poitou-Charentes company incubator and numerous research laboratories (University, CHU, CNRS, Inserm and Inra).
