An original concept

The cluster BIOPOLE SANTE gathers biotech companies, research and training institutions in Poitou-Charentes Region (France), fostering innovation by joining forces within the scope of ‘‘Biomedical Sciences, Healthcare, Water Management and Environment”.


As a non-profit making organization, Biopole Sante has as its main objective the reinforcement of
  complementarities between the biotechnology actors established in Poitou-Charentes. With one thousand employees in more than thirty companies, 600 researchers, 17 laboratories and 3500 students enrolled in high-level course programs, Biopole Sante is particularly strong in three key sectors: Biomedical sciences, Healtcare, and Water management-Environment.

Drawing strength from a widespread network of experts, Biopole Sante also benefits from the geographical proximity of the university hospital center, the university campus, the medicine and pharmacy faculty of the University of Poitiers, the Poitou-Charentes company incubator and numerous research laboratories (University, CHU, CNRS, Inserm and Inra).
